Getting started
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly as a private client. To claim the Medicare rebate you need a referral and a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP. WorkCover and insurer clients usually need a referral or approval from their case manager.
How soon can I start?
I'm currently accepting new referrals with no waitlist. I'll contact you within 2 business days (to confirm) to arrange a first session.
How does telehealth work?
Sessions run by secure video, so you can attend from home, work or anywhere private. You'll get a link before each session. All you need is a phone, tablet or computer with a camera and a reasonable internet connection.
Who do you see?
Adults, Australia-wide. My main focus is people whose work, injury or claim is affecting their mental health, and I also help with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and many other concerns.

Fees and funding
How much does a session cost?
A standard 50 to 60-minute session is $220, or $180 for concession card holders and full-time students. With a Medicare referral, you'll get $101.55 back per session.
Will I pay anything if I'm on WorkCover?
Sessions approved by WorkCover Queensland or your employer's insurer are billed directly to them, so there's usually nothing for you to pay (to confirm).
What if my claim hasn't been accepted yet?
Get in touch anyway. We can talk through your options, including Medicare or private sessions in the meantime.

How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you're working on. We set clear goals together and check in on them regularly, so you'll always know how things are going and whether to continue.
Is what I say confidential?
Yes. What you share stays private, with a few legal exceptions, such as a serious risk to your safety or someone else's. I'll explain these in your first session.
Will my employer know what we talk about?
No. For WorkCover and insurer clients, reports focus on progress, capacity and return to work, and I'll talk with you about what goes in them.
